Medication Aide Program at U.S. Colleges
Medication Aide is a program that prepares individuals to administer prescribed medications; observe and report patient reactions and side effects; and perform related emergency and recording duties under the supervision of nurses and/or physicians. Includes instruction in basic anatomy and physiology, common medications and their effects, taking vital signs, oxygen administration, medication administration and application, record-keeping, and patient observation.

The average amount is computed based on the costs for one(1) year or one but less than two years (1-2) years vocational programs. The average length of the Medication Aide vocation program is 140 contact hours (credit hours) and the average completion time is 2.50 months.
