Detailed Funding Description
Mission Moldova has a broad USG exchange program alumni community focusing on a variety of fields, such as good governance, education, entrepreneurship, law, civic engagement, agriculture, etc. These alumni offer a wide range of experience, talent, and knowledge to share powerful and meaningful messages with diverse local audiences.
The U.S. Embassy invites interested organizations to submit applications for funding of projects designed to provide an efficient engagement and outreach strategy and conduct activities focused on creating a platform for USG exchange programs alumni to share their knowledge and skills for the benefit of the Moldovan community.

Funding Eligibility
Eligible Applicants:
- Nonprofits having a 501 (c) (3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education
- Additional Information: Are considered eligible Moldovan not-for-profit organizations with prior experience of working with grants and projects focused on engagement and outreach. U.S. organizations can apply only as partners through an eligible organization. Special consideration will be given to applicants with prior experience of working with U.S. government sponsored programs and/or alumni, or a strong connection to the USG alumni community. Applicants must have dedicated full-time staff to carry out the project's activities and demonstrate their ability to:
- Communicate efficiently and carry out their activities in accordance with the scope, goal, and substance of the project.
- Develop partnerships with different relevant stakeholders (national and foreign entities), including but not limited to the public and private sector, civil society etc.
- Conduct engagement and outreach activities.
- Develop communication strategies. The Public Diplomacy Section reserves the right to request any additional background information on applicants that do not have previous experience administering federal grant awards, and these applicants may be subject to limited funding on a pilot basis.
