More colleges are removing SAT scores as a "required item" from their application requirements, but still they are considering the SAT score in admission process.
In california, no public schools require or consider the SAT score. The major university systems such as University of California and California State University no longer uses SAT scores in application process. However, still many california private colleges including Stanford University consider the SAT score to determine admission eligibility.
